A mantra (or mantram) is a sacred vocal expression, a divine sound, a syllable, word phonemes, or a group of words that contain spiritual power via centered intention.
Foundationally, the word ॐ (Aum or Om) is the first sound which originated on Gaia. "Aum" or "Om" creates a reverberation that shifts the body and mind into a state of relaxation and centeredness. Mantras can be melodic phrases with spiritual interpretations such as a human longing for truth, reality, light, immortality, peace, love, knowledge, and action or they can be without any literal meaning and are musically uplifting and spiritually meaningful. Mantras also serve a central role in the practice of Tantra.
Here at Casa Kāma, we specialize in Mantra work to teach you how to augment your unique frequency, connect with your Higher Self and Source, heal outstanding traumas to the body and the soul, and to manifest the reality your soul was intended to experience this lifetime.

PRACTICE METHODS
JAPA:
Speaking mantras aloud or silently:
-
Vaachika Japa (Verbal) – Chanting loudly
-
Upaanshu Japa (Whispering) – Chanting internally with low action and effort
-
Manasik Japa (Mental/Reminder) – Reciting or reminding without action or motion
-
Aajapa Japa (Hearing inner sound) – Listening to breath sound, heart sound, or any inner vibrations. The Mantra ‘SOHAM’ is very common for beginning.
KIRTAN:
Singing mantras either solo or in groups. Groups either sing togather, overlap (particularly with Bija mantras) or they use a call-and-response approach, with a Kirtan leader presenting the verse and then the audience repeating it back.
LIKHITA JAPA:
Writing, drawing or tracing the mantra in Sanskrit.
